Have you heard the word on the street? For 2018 we are going cashless!
Our latest newsletter is an important edition, as it contains information on how our new payment system “Fete Cash Cards” will work. This year we are simplify payments for Class Volunteers working at these stalls, from 9am to 5pm the stalls will all be “cashless”. The only form of “legal tender” accepted during these hours will be GSS Fete Cash Cards.
This newsletter will help answer all your burning questions about this new payment system (including how to purchase your cards!), so get clicking.

Every year in the lead-up to the Graceville State School Fete, we put out a call for budding chefs in our school families to get cooking and produce a delicious selection of jams, preserves, chutneys, relishes and curds to delight customers of the Jam Stall on Fete Day.
The Jam Stall is always hugely popular, and to ensure we have sufficient supplies, we kindly ask that each GSS class contributes 15 filled jars. Some parents may like to do the cooking, while others can contribute by donating ingredients.
Read up on how you can help, including a handy guide on how to sterilise your jars.
It may be winter here in Brisbane, but it’s a great time to spring clean!
For this year’s Fete on Saturday 25 August, we need a huge range of second hand items to sell at the Grand Bazaar, which starts at 6am on Fete Day. Please start putting aside suitable, good quality pre-loved items now so you can bring them to school from 16 July. Check out our Grand Bazaar Flyer for all the info!
We are pleased to announce the 2018 Stall Allocation List!

If you want to get a taste for the Graceville State School Fete, nothing beats the rocky roads, coconut ices, toffees, chocolate fudges and other delicious sweet treats.
These popular confectioneries will be in demand on Saturday, August 26, at the Sweets Stall, so we need our school families to play their part. To ensure we have sufficient supplies on fete day, we are asking parents (and children) to dig out their favourite sweets recipes and start cooking.
Of course, we want to make it easier for you, so the classes managing the Sweets Stall can put together take-home packs of ingredients, plus the bags in which you can wrap your finished goodies. Just email the Stall Convenor at email@example.com and you can arrange to pick up packs.
When your cooking is done, just bring the sweets to the school.
